Triquid Notes collects nothing. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Nothing about you or your notes reaches the developer, and there is no server of ours for it to reach.
Where your notes go
- On your device. Notes, attachments and settings are kept in the app’s private storage so you can work offline.
- Your own Trilium server. When you connect one, the app exchanges notes directly with the address you entered. That server is yours, or run by someone you chose; nothing is routed through a service in between.
- Your iCloud. A few preferences, such as your home screen layout and the list of servers you use, sync between your devices through your private iCloud account. The developer cannot see them.
Sign-in details
Server passwords, session cookies and tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and are only ever sent to your own server.
Apple Intelligence
Summaries, to-do lists, title and label suggestions, related notes and summaries of clipped articles are made on your device with Apple’s on-device model. Note content is not sent to the developer or to any other service for this.
Writing Tools (proofread, rewrite, summarize, list, table) is Apple’s own system feature. Apple decides where it runs: on the device, or for longer requests on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, under Apple’s privacy policy. The developer never receives that text.
Clipping web pages
When you clip a link, the app loads that page on your device to read the article. Cookies the site sets — for example when you accept its cookie notice — are kept on your device so the next clip from that site works straight away.
Permissions
- Camera — to take photos and scan documents into notes, only when you choose to.
- Photos — to add the images you pick as attachments.
- Face ID — to unlock the app or protected notes. iOS handles it; the app never receives biometric data.
- Location — only to show where you are on a geo map note when you tap its location button. It is not stored or sent anywhere.
- Local network — to reach a Trilium server on your home or office network.
Spotlight
Note titles and text can be added to the on-device Spotlight index so you can find them from search. The index stays on your device and is removed when you remove the server from the app or delete the app.
Children
Triquid Notes is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear at this address with a new date at the top.

Privacybeleid (Nederlands)
Triquid Notes verzamelt niets.
Vragen? Mail naar justin.m.meijer@icloud.com.
